A safety upgrade brings an existing venue's stage systems back to a certifiable standard - secondary safeties, guarding, load monitoring, E-stop coverage and modern control engineered onto the equipment you already own. You keep what already works; we engineer, fit and recertify what does not. One party owns the design, the install and the paperwork, Australia wide.

It is the step after the finding. A Venue Systems Health Check or another inspector's report grades what failed and sets a rectification timeframe; this page is the team that engineers the fix. When Central Queensland University's venue was missing a safety device, TSA designed and retrofitted one to the existing system - a targeted, engineered fix that demonstrated the venue's due diligence without a teardown. Behind every upgrade sit the same five in-house disciplines - scenic, rigging, automation, drapes and electronics - that carry whole venues from fit-out to commission, so the load path, the control layer and the certification stay with one team.

Every upgrade runs the same path - evidence first, engineering before fabrication, certification on the way out. Here is how a finding becomes a fixed, certified system.

    Prioritised findings

    It starts with evidence - an inspection report, a capability audit, an incident file - graded with rectification timeframes, so the programme starts where the risk is.

  2. Step 02

    Engineered upgrade design

    In-house drafting and design review before anything is fabricated - load paths checked, interfaces coordinated, load-bearing elements verified and certified.

  3. Step 03

    Guarding & secondary safeties

    Physical protection retrofitted to installed systems - secondary safeties, guarding and access provisions engineered onto the equipment you already own.

  4. Step 04

    Control & component upgrades

    E-stop coverage, load monitoring, user levels and replacement components fitted to legacy machinery - without replacing the system around them.

  5. Step 05

    Recertification & documentation

    Upgraded equipment is tested and certified - load-tested hoists carry individual 12-month certificates - and the record is handed over as due-diligence evidence.

Upgrade where the system is sound, replace where it is not - the grading tells you which. Control hardware sits under Atlas hoist controllers, the recertification cadence under annual inspections, and the ongoing relationship under the Service & Inspection Programme.

No - upgrade work is staged around your calendar. Most upgrades land in dark weeks, term breaks and quiet days, and where the equipment allows, work is done in-situ so systems are not sent offsite. A staged programme keeps the season running while the system comes up to standard.
Yes. We upgrade systems we did not install. The work starts by establishing what is actually there, and the design, drafting and engineering verification are all done in-house before anything is fitted. Findings from another inspector's report are treated the same way as our own.
The equipment the upgrade touches is tested, and every item that passes is issued a test certificate. Load-tested electric chain hoists get an individual certificate valid for 12 months, and the works are documented through installation, commissioning and handover. To be clear about what that is: these are our own test and inspection certificates for the equipment we have worked on, not third-party accreditation of the venue. The record stands as due-diligence evidence for your WHS obligations.
Upgrade where the underlying system is sound, replace where it is not - the grading tells you which. Equipment that exceeds discard criteria must be replaced; where the structure and machinery still serve, secondary safeties, guarding and control upgrades bring them to a certifiable state at a fraction of the disruption.
By graded risk. Inspection findings carry a grade and a rectification timeframe - condemned items come out of service immediately, then the programme works down the Maintenance Priority List from High to Low. You see the order, the reasoning and the record as each item closes.
No - an existing report from any inspector is enough to start. If the venue has no current picture of its systems, a capability audit or a Venue Systems Health Check establishes the baseline first, so the upgrade programme is built on evidence rather than assumption.
