What rigging hardware means

The metalwork
that carries the load.

Rigging hardware is the structural attachment and suspension gear that holds the rig up - the cable holders, pulley blocks, beam and batten clamps, and fly-system fittings that route the lines and fix the load to the building and grid. TSA specifies all five families to theatrical and venue standard, not pulled from a generic industrial catalogue.

Every item is rated, certified and finished for stage use: Reutlinger cable holders dual-rated to DGUV and TUV, pulley blocks third-party certified to AS 1418.2, girder clamps to 10 tonne, and the in-house 250 kg batten range. The wear-and-replace consumables sit alongside in the rest of the Lifting & Rigging range.

Pick the family,
not the compromise.

Five hardware families, each the right answer to a different job on the rig - here is what TSA stocks in each, and how to spec the one your rig needs.

Everything here is rated, certified and finished for stage use. Reutlinger cable holders are dual-rated to DGUV and TUV, pulley blocks are third-party certified to AS 1418.2, girder clamps run to 10 t, and batten clamps hold 250 kg. Black is the venue default across the hardware.

Rigging hardware is the load-bearing structural attachment and suspension metalwork - the gear that fixes the rig to the building and grid and routes the lines. TSA stocks five families: Reutlinger self-locking cable holders, the 150mm nylon pulley blocks and sheaves, beam and girder clamps, batten clamps and pipe hangers, and fly-system hardware. The wear-and-replace consumables (slings, shackles, rope, wire rope and tape) are on the consumables page, tube couplers on the clamps and couplers page, LITEC truss on the truss and structures page, and personal height-safety gear on the personal rigging gear page.
Reutlinger Type 50, 66 and 80 SV III self-locking cable holders take 4 to 8 mm steel wire rope and lock under load. They carry two certified ratings: 60 to 240 kg to DGUV safety factor 10, the entertainment-industry rating, and 120 to 480 kg to TUV safety factor 5. Cable holders are not permitted for dynamic scenic movement, and loads must never travel above people in the danger zone. TSA stocks the Reutlinger rigging range, made in Germany, in central and lateral cable-exit forms with ring, threaded, fork and Doughty-coupler fittings.
Yes, they are third-party certified to AS 1418.2 and AS 3990. The 150mm 6-line loft block is rated 250 kg and the head block 500 kg, with a 230mm counterweight head block rated 750 kg. All run near-silent Nylatron nylon sheaves on sealed precision ball bearings. They fix to standard Universal Beam (200 to 460 UB) and Universal Column (150 to 200 UC) sections with a perpendicular no-drill mounting bracket - no modification to the structural steel - and a satin black finish for theatrical environments.
TSA supplies two girder-clamp ranges. The TSA Black range is rated 2 t and 3 t in a satin black finish for venue specifications, and the Beaver colour-coded range runs 1 t to 10 t, coded by working load for quick on-site verification. Jaw openings span 14 to 350 mm to suit UB and UC sections, and both ranges are third-party certified and need no drilling. Send the beam size and the load and we will spec the clamp.
All five batten-clamp configurations are rated 250 kg WLL, fabricated in-house from 5 mm steel with M12 hardware throughout and a matt black powder-coat finish. They suit 48 mm OD tube and 75 x 50 RHS battens, in single, double, RHS-and-OD combination and standard pipe-hanger assemblies, covering the full spread of Australian venue batten profiles from one supplier.
Yes. Flying irons, boss plates, clew plates, rigging lugs, clamp-on weights and the Grade P jaw-jaw turnbuckle for fine scenic adjustment all sit in the fly-system hardware family. This gear is specified to the job and the engineering documentation rather than pulled off a shelf, so send the rig and we will spec, supply and certify the right hardware for it.
