01 / Why TSA

Not only theatre. Always live.

TSA started in a Gold Coast garage in 2014. Twelve years on, we’re 70+ people across four states, doing the rigging, hoisting, automation, drape and scenic work for hundreds of Australian venues and productions.

The work is real and it’s hands-on. We engineer, manufacture, install and service the systems that hang above a stage - in theatres, schools, houses of worship, arenas and on the road. Designed by industry doers.

Most of our team came up through the industry, not into it. If you’ve worked the tools backstage and want to keep building, this is a place that values what you already know - and backs you to learn the rest.

What you could do here.

Lifting & Rigging

Rigging & Hoists

Chain hoists, controllers, truss and the gear that holds the load. We design it, supply it, install it and service it - so the people who hang it know it inside out.

Drapes & Sewing

Stage curtains, tracks and tabs, cut and sewn in our Melbourne workshop. FR-treated, weighted and finished by hand, then installed by our own crews.
