The whole room, floor to mirrors.
Studios, conservatoires and ballet schools. Sprung floors, barres, mirrors and surfaces measured to your room, made in Australia and backed for the life of the studio - so the body that lands on it is looked after, class after class.
From the sprung floor up, one team makes the room.
A dance studio is a set of surfaces and fittings the body works against all day - the floor that gives under a landing, the vinyl that grips, the barres and the mirrors round the wall. Choose the studio type that matches yours, then explore the equipment we measure, make and install across it.

Replacement surfaces
What dance studios call us about.
Different studio, same short list. These are the calls that turn into a measure-up and a quote - and the reason we make every floor to the room rather than off a roll.
The floor is hard concrete under a thin vinyl, and we're seeing shin and ankle complaints across the older classes.
Studio Principal
The barres wobble and the mirrors were never meant for a studio. I need fittings that take daily class without flexing.
Artistic Director, ballet school
We were sold a dance floor with no real sprung performance, and our syllabus needs the give for jumps and landings.
Dance Teacher
We're fitting out a new studio and need the floor, barres and mirrors made to the room and in before term starts.
Facilities Manager, performing-arts school
The vinyl is worn through in the landing zones and I want it replaced without re-laying the whole sprung floor.
Owner, contemporary dance studio
Everything the room runs on, from one team.
The floor, the fittings and the fit-out around them - we make and install the parts that matter to dancers. Hover or tap any capability to see how it shows up in your studio - listed in the order most studios meet us.
Made for the joints that depend on it.
Sprung floors, ballet barres, studio mirrors, performance vinyl and sports flooring - measured to the room, made in Australia and backed for the life of the studio. The sprung floor is our own in-house system, independently tested for force reduction, and every barre bracket is load-tested to exceed the Australian standard. The range still carries the Show Works name and is now made by Theatre Safe Australia; it is listed product by product on the Show Works dance equipment pages.
A new studio, in before term starts.
Fitting out a new studio or converting a hall into one? We install the floor, barres and mirrors as one coordinated job, programmed around your build and handed over ready for class - so the room lands as one piece, not stitched together across trades.
Custom joinery for the room around the floor.
The pieces a studio needs beyond the standard range - mirror surrounds, storage joinery, a small showcase stage or a set for the end-of-year recital - built in our workshop to the room and finished to match.
Mirrors fixed safe, and a number to call.
Wall mirrors are installed by trade-qualified staff to AS 1288, with certification on request - so a full-height glass wall in a busy studio is fixed the way it should be. After hand-over, you have one team to call for replacement surfaces and ongoing support.
Nothing above your dancers is a question mark.
Lighting bar inspections, hoist replacements and rigging refurbishments, engineered and certified to AS 4991. The bars your lights and backdrops hang from over the floor, load-rated and signed off - so the rig holds through every showcase, every recital.
Stage drapes and backdrops that stay FR-current.
Legs, borders and painted or plain backdrops for your recital stage, sized to the studio you dance in, FR-treated and recertified before the window lapses, available as new stock, hire stock for the season, or a recertification of what you already run.
When a routine needs to leave the floor.
When a recital number calls for a move the studio rig can't make - a dancer flown on a cue, a piece that tracks in - we design and build the mechanism, rated and rehearsed to your running order.
Extra kit for the recital that needs it.
Extra masking, a few more hoists or a full package for a recital or touring show - the same kit you'd buy, booked to your dates and delivered around your get-in and bump-out.
How it usually goes, start to finish.
Most studio fit-outs with TSA follow the same five-step shape. Mapped to your room and your term dates, not ours.

Questions dance studios ask us most.
Tell us about the room and how it gets used - the styles you teach, the ages in your classes and the floor you have now. We measure up, then come back with a floor, barre and mirror package made to the room. Every floor is made to fit rather than cut from a standard roll, so the consult is where we get the room right before anything is manufactured.
Our sprung floor comes in four finishes on the same independently tested sprung base. Solo is the sprung floor with a paint or seal top, relocatable. Pointe adds Tarkett dancefloor vinyl for ballet and pointe. Classic adds a self-healing acoustic vinyl that suits tap. Performance adds a paintable impact board and is the stage-ready option. We match the finish to your syllabus during the consult.
Everything is made in Australia and installed to the room. The sprung floor goes down without a tradesman where you want it relocatable, or we install it for you. Wall mirrors are fixed by trade-qualified staff to AS 1288, with certification on request - so a full-height glass wall in a busy studio is fixed the way it should be. We programme the install around your term dates so the room is ready for class.
The vinyl wears before the sprung floor does, especially in the landing zones. Because the surface rolls over the sprung base, we can replace the vinyl on its own without re-laying the floor underneath. The equipment is backed for the life of the studio, with replacement surfaces supplied as they wear, so you have one team to call rather than starting from scratch.
Yes. For multi-use spaces we supply and install Tarkett Multiflex M, a semi-sprung timber sports floor that lays joint-free to any size. It carries FIBA Level 1, WSF and IHF accreditations for basketball, squash and handball, so the same room can take a dance class and a sports session. Where the brief is dance-first, we steer you to the sprung dance floor instead - the consult sorts out which one fits.
Tell us about the room. We'll make the floor.
