What touring support is

On the road,
and in the show.

Touring Support keeps a touring set looking and operating at peak performance, venue after venue. Preventive maintenance holds the scenic elements to the standard they were built to. On-the-road repair puts right the wear and knocks a set takes between houses. Essential faults carry a 24-hour turnaround, the production has a 24/7 contact through the run, and dedicated on-site production crew join the show where it needs them.

This is the support half of touring - service, not kit. Where Touring Packages bundle the gear, touring support keeps your scenic elements maintained and repaired once the tour is moving. It sits inside the wider Sets, Scenery & Props workshop, so whoever is on the ground is briefed on your build and works to the standard that made it.

On the road · support cycle 5 steps
A blueprint process flow of how a touring set is supported: step one check the scenic elements at load-in, step two run preventive maintenance through the season, step three take the fault call on a 24/7 contact, step four fix it around the show without stopping the performance - this fix step is highlighted in orange - and step five keep the set rolling on to the next venue. 1 LOAD-IN CHECK Check the scenic elements in at each venue. 2 MAINTAIN Preventive maintenance through the run. 3 FAULT CALL A 24/7 contact takes the call, any hour. 4 FIX 24-hour turnaround, around the show. 5 KEEP ROLLING Back in the show, on to the next venue.

Five steps, one standard. Check in, maintain, take the call, fix and keep rolling - across the whole run. The fix step is where the 24-hour turnaround is won, so an essential fault never becomes a hole in the show.

What's covered

The full support cover,
load-in to load-out.

Touring support is not a single call-out. It is a maintained engagement that keeps the scenic elements in good working order, fixes the faults that would stop a show, and puts production-grade crew on the ground where the run needs them - so the set you opened with is the set you close with.

Your set, maintained across the whole run.

Preventive maintenance, on-the-road repair and a 24-hour turnaround on essential faults, reached on a 24/7 contact and worked around the show - so the scenic elements keep running, venue to venue.

Touring support is the maintenance half of a tour. The kit itself comes from Touring Packages; whole-show automation control and technical direction sit with Production Engineering; and the scenic build it supports comes from the wider Sets, Scenery & Props workshop - in-house, concept to strike.
