How we plug in

Take it all,
or take a part.

You can hand us the whole technical side of your show, or just the piece you are missing. However you start, you deal with one technical lead and the in-house disciplines behind them.

01

Take the whole technical solution

Design, drafting, the kit and the people to run it. One technical lead owns scope, crew, procurement, budget and bump-in to bump-out.

02

Take a part

Just production management on the floor, or just the design and drafting, or just the kit. Plug us in where you are short.

03

Work to your design

Bring your concept and cue sheet and we engineer, draft and run it. Or we design the technical solution from the brief up.

What production management is

Someone owns the
technical delivery.

Production management is TSA owning the technical delivery of your production so you can run the rest of it. We translate the creative and design intent into a plan that can actually be built, rigged and run, then we coordinate the people and kit to make it happen - on the dates you run and inside the budget you set.

Our technical directors are not subcontracting the disciplines they direct. Rigging, automation, scenic fabrication and soft goods all sit with one team, so when a cue changes or a load path needs rework, the answer comes from the same team - not a chain of vendors pointing at each other. It is one part of Production Engineering.

What we carry

What a technical director carries.

Technical direction is owning the technical delivery of your show so you can run the rest of it. Here is what that covers, from the first production meeting to the strike.

  1. Step 01

    Scope & sequence

What gets built, in what order, against the production calendar.

  2. Step 02

    Crew coordination

Riggers, automation operators and technicians, briefed and on the floor when they are needed.

  3. Step 03

    Resourcing & procurement

The kit and consumables sourced and on site, not chased mid bump-in.

  4. Step 04

    Budget management

Tracked across the technical scope, with no surprises on opening week.

  5. Step 05

    Bump-in & bump-out

The load-in window planned and run, and the strike handled cleanly at the end.

It is one part of Production Engineering - technical design and drafting, automation, performer flying and custom fabrication all sit alongside it.
