How we plug in

Three ways the
install lands.

A whole staging environment, the stage-machinery scope inside a builder's programme, or one system into a working building - the same discipline covers all three. Wherever we plug in, one party owns the interfaces, the load paths and the handover.

01

Full system install

The whole staging environment - hoists, bars, grids, track, acoustics and control - designed and delivered as one programme under one party.

02

Package in a builder's programme

TSA takes the stage-machinery scope under your head contract, with the interfaces to the building trades documented and owned.

03

Single system, working venue

One system added around a live calendar. A rigging system going into an existing grid? Rigging Installation covers the detail.

What venue installation is

Set in place.
Proven under load.

Venue installation is TSA setting a building's stage machinery in place and proving it - hoists, lighting bars, pipe grids, curtain track, acoustic banners and control, installed, load-tested and commissioned to a documented handover by the team that engineered them. One party carries the programme from site survey to sign-off, Australia wide, so your venue owns one relationship instead of multiple vendor interfaces.

This page covers whole-venue installs - the complete staging environment, fit-out to commission. For a single rigging system going into an existing grid, see Rigging Installation. Either way, you are already running a season, a term or a builder's programme - the install is engineered to land around it.

It is how a multi-studio broadcast facility took delivery of TV hoists, pile-hoist lighting bars, pipe grids and acoustic systems as one environment, and how the Great Hall at Cairns Convention Centre gained a 36-axis hoist array with 42 metres of box truss. After handover, the relationship is carried by the Venue Systems Health Check and the Service & Inspection Programme.

One sequence, one party. Survey datum to commissioning - primary steel, hoists, bars and control set in a programmed order, with dead-hung grids rated by point load at droppers and UDL per metre.

How it runs

How the install runs.

One programme from survey to sign-off. The clashes surface on paper, where they cost a redraw - not during bump-in - and the dates hold because they were engineered, not hoped for.

  1. Step 01

    Site survey & early coordination

Load paths, interfaces and structural requirements resolved on paper before anything is fabricated - clashes surface in design, where they cost nothing.

  2. Step 02

    Engineering & drafting

In-house drafting with coordinated consultant engagement, taken through formal design-review milestones before fabrication begins.

  3. Step 03

    Supply & controlled fabrication

Systems built under quality-assurance oversight, with engineering verification and certification of every load-bearing element.

  4. Step 04

    Install & integration

Hoists set, bars flown, track and control integrated as one environment - the coordination across lighting, audio, video and building trades carried for you.

  5. Step 05

    Commissioning & documented handover

Load-tested, certified, documented and signed off - then your operators trained to competency on the system they now own.

Installation is one door into Venue Engineering - fit-outs, systems integration, safety upgrades and capability audits sit alongside it, and fly systems have their own explainer.

The building's stage systems installed, load-tested and commissioned to a documented handover - hoists, lighting bars, pipe grids, curtain track, acoustic systems and the control layer that runs them. Delivery runs from site survey and engineering through controlled fabrication, install, integration and commissioning, carried by one accountable team. Operators are then trained to competency on the specific system.
Bring it to the site survey - every piece of equipment is verified against the load paths and standards it has to live under before it is hung. Systems TSA engineered are installed and commissioned as designed; existing or customer-supplied equipment is assessed first, and anything that cannot be verified is flagged before it goes up, not after.
Yes. Installs are sequenced around a working venue's calendar - a live season, a school term or a builder's programme - with the staging agreed before work starts. The calendar is engineered with the same discipline as the load paths, so the building keeps operating while the work lands.
Engineering verification and certification of the load-bearing elements is part of delivery, backed by in-house drafting and coordinated consultant engagement through formal design reviews. At commissioning, installed electric chain hoists are load-tested and issued individual certificates valid for 12 months, and the commissioning records form part of the handover pack.
A documented handover: the engineering behind the load-bearing elements, the assumptions, interfaces and responsibilities recorded through design and installation, commissioning and load-test records, and per-asset equipment certificates. It is the pack your certifier, your insurer and your operators can rely on - and the start of the asset register your venue carries forward.
As long as the programme agreed at survey - one honest figure does not exist, because a single-space system and a multi-studio fit-out are different jobs. What is fixed is how the answer is reached: scope confirmed at survey, the sequence engineered around your calendar, and the dates committed before work begins.
