The TSA workshop is a renowned theatre scenery and architectural workshop. The workshop has produced some of Australasia’s most magnificent builds for many a large range of installations and productions. Having the ability to provide in house designing right through to fabrication, the workshop allows the team to draw on decades of knowledge quickly and efficiently to produce the desired outcome our clients are in search for. CARPENTRY

For all things wood – from small props and rehearsal furniture to full stage construction and exhibitions.

Our construction skills lend themselves to both small hand props and large scenic components. We can cater for exhibitions and displays including stock and custom flats, stands and bases. Our combined years of experience working with the theatrical and entertainment industries allow us to achieve the imaginative designs of the future to suit all your needs.

ENGINEERING AND AUTOMATION

Completely automated floors, revolves, scenery trusses and lifts, metal fabrication, in steel or aluminium.

Our engineering workshop can design and manufacture a wide range of computer-controlled and manual solutions for the theatre and entertainment industries including, but not limited to, the following:

Actor and scenery lifts with automated and manual swing, drop or slide doors.
Multi track-automated scenery trusses with either hard or soft panels.
Automated flat/raked show decks with tracks that have curved and multi carriage capability.

We also design and fabricate various items in steel or aluminium and finish in either paint, powder coat or galvanised steel. Ranging from storage and transport trolleys, up to design fabrication and installation of structural steel components, this can vary from simple rigging points to full stage support installations.

SCULPTURE AND PROPS

Hand and set props in all forms and all mediums.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, we can cater for all your needs from small clay sculpting jobs to silicone moulds and fibre glassing, as well as epoxy and scenic finishes and larger props in polystyrene, hard-coating and with automation.

SCENIC PAINTING

Experienced artists can produce a wide range of finishes on canvas, wood, metal and polystyrene.

Our steelwork and scenic elements can also be finished in a large range of applications from black etch, industrial enamels and acrylic finishes to all types of scenic treatments including blocking, wood graining, and gold leaf finishes.

SET ELECTRICS

Bringing the stage and set to life with bespoke set electrics.

In the electrical department we specialise in custom set electrics built to suit each show as required by the designer. We have extensive experience in automation systems, DMX control, lighting systems, LED systems, pneumatic systems, power distribution, etc.
