Plinths for three tonnes, and rooms in gloss black acrylic
Exhibition fit-out at NGV International, from steel-reinforced plinths for Pharaoh to the environments for Alexander McQueen.
Our Show Works workshop has been on the NGV's supplier panel for more than 15 years. For Pharaoh in 2024, shown with the British Museum, we built over 50 steel-reinforced plinths, engineered in-house to carry stone artefacts weighing up to three tonnes.
For Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse in 2023, we reconfigured the 9 m by 1.8 m Nautilus showcase, which stands over three metres tall, and built five cylindrical MDF pedestals with powder-coated steel tops. In the Angels and Demons room we lined the walls floor to ceiling in gloss black acrylic, so the LED screens reflect endlessly.
